Ningbo Party Committee held a meeting to introduce present situation to old cadres. Vice Secretary of Ningbo Party Committee Guo Zhengwei delivered the speech about social security. He said in part years, Ningbo Party Committee had enhanced the construction of “Security Ningbo” and legal system, strengthened grass roots infrastructure construction, improved people’s livelihood, protected people’s legal rights, therefore, social security was stable. In part 3 years, petition letters, massive events and criminal cases dropped continuously. Accidents of safety production, death roll and direct economic losses had no growth. Sense of security, incomes of people in city and countryside, social security level increased smoothly. In 2007, Ningbo passed annual inspection of security construction held by Zhe Jiang Government. 11 counties had met all indexes in inspection and evaluation at county level. It is the first time Ningbo had all round success in security construction.
