Recently, it is reported from Yinzhou Agriculture and Forestry Bureau, insured amount of policy-related agricultural insurance reached 223 million yuan this year, 100 million yuan more than that of last year. Total 4477 farmers’ households are covered by the policy related agricultural insurance, 2650 more than that of last year. The income of insurance fees is about 8.45 million yuan. The insured amount and insurance premiums both rank No 1 in Zhejiang province. This year is the second year since the policy related agricultural insurance was implemented in Yinzhou District. Local governments at district and township levels give great support to the work. The government of Yinzhou District allocated additional 6 million yuan for the work this year on the base of 2.5 million last year.
