Ms. Wu living in Zhou Meng Community went to vegetable market to buy Chinese cabbage. Several stands had no Chinese cabbage. Finally, she found out one stand selling Chinese cabbage. But, she was scared by the price---5 Yuan per kg. Head of vegetable market said the price went up by 300% as plum rain lasted for weeks which affected output of local Chinese cabbage. In Ningbo, 70% of vegetables come from other provinces. Now, the supply is big enough for the market. Therefore, output of local vegetables gives slight impact to prices of vegetables. Whole sale price is only 1.63Yuan per kg, the same as that in beginning of June. Insiders said now, weather was getting fine. Local farmers were planting Chinese cabbage. After 20 days, people can have cheap Chinese cabbage and other vegetables.
