Chen Juying, an old woman living in Jiang Dong said we were very happy as every old person could select one model suitable for himself to live out his live in retirement at different ages and different healthy condition. Now, there are 37000 elders with the ages over 60 in Jiang Dong. Since Jiang Dong began the service for elders, who could live at home for retirement period in 2004, Jiang Dong has set up a new model themed with coordinating demand and supply and integrating station with home. So far, there are 24 service centers which provide services for elders who stay at home for retirement period. 24 centers cover 48 service stations, which have 106 workers and over 1500 volunteers. In addition, there are 4 specialized service centers, which can serve for especial elders. Now, this system has covers all elders in Jiang Dong. 90% of elders stay at home for retirement. 7 % of elders go to service stations in communities for daily time. 3% of elders live in specialized service for remainder of lives. It symbolizes “9037 format” is formed basically.
