On the morning of April 15, Bamboo Garden of Dalei Village, Hengjie Town of Yinzhou was filled with conversation and laughter. Over 50 tourists were there enjoying the fun of digging bamboo shoots in spring. The fourth Ecological Tourist Festival of Bamboo Village opens the same day in Yinzhou District. The tourist festival will last until May 5. In order to enrich the content of the tourist festival, Hengjie Town invested more than 2 million yuan to set up an ecological bamboo garden which occupying 16 mu of land. Tourists can either look around in the bamboo forest or digging bamboo shoots by themselves. And the Phoenix Mountain Villa located on the near side is also a good place for relax. People can go fishing and eating farm-flavored dishes. Hengjie Town enjoys the fame of “the village of bamboo in China” for a long history. Annual output of bamboo shoots reaches 12,000 tons, generating a production value of 10 million yuan every year. In recent years, Hengjie Town makes great efforts to develop tourist resources focusing on “bamboo” and completed several farm leisure projects.
