After two hours of intense work, testing center of metering institute of Municipal Bureau of Quality Supervision completed the installation and testing of the city's first vehicle-based price meter with the interface of Ningbo public card at noon yesterday. The midofied taxi with the license plate of Zhe B • T1764 was installed by smart dome light with LED display, satellite positioning monitoring system (GPS), operational data card (IC card), the interface of public card system and other devices. According to the staff of testing center, GPS can show information of pictures of drivers on duty, operating certification, star rate and other information, which can collect real-time operating data, including taxi location the passengers get on, stop location, mileage, amount, etc.; can monitor and playback taxi routes; have the functions of navigation, communications, multimedia play and others. Supporting price meter can calculate output data, accept credit card settlement, display results through LCD screen.Both of Bus IC card and public card can be used. Intelligent dome LED display will show the current state of vehicles――― "empty", "passenger", "pause", "power transfer", "Help", etc. It is understood that Mingbo plans to input 300 new taxis to promote the intelligent system.
