Ningbo Municipal Government held special meeting to summarize energy saving work done in the first half of the year and make arrangement for the second half of the year. Member of Standing Committee of Ningbo party Committee and Vice Mayor Yu Hongyi noted that all bureaus should work hard further and ensure to fulfill targets of this year. In the first half of the year, under the guidance of Ningbo Party Committee, relevant bureaus worked hard and achieved great success in energy saving work. Energy consumption of every unit GDP grew by 0.9% over the same period of last year. But, if removing high energy consumption of Ningbo Iron and Steel Plant and energy drop of Zheng Hai Refining Factory, energy consumption of every unit GDP dropped by 6% over the same period of last year. Large enterprises reduced energy consumption of increased output per unit by 11.6%. 108 city level enterprises, which signed responsibility documents for energy consumption, have reduced comprehensive energy consumption per 10000 Yuan output by 9.6% in the first 6 months of the year.
