Ningbo Office for Energy Saving and Ningbo Bureau of Economy issued the plan for promoting high efficiency illumination products in 2008. Ningbo Government will give subsidies for use of these products. Now, people can go to community offices for relevant information. A 12 Yuan energy saving light only costs 3.5Yuan as Ningbo Municipal Government pays the remainder by subsidy. The Office said based on national plan, 150 million of energy saving lights will be used before 2010 by the way of issuing subsidies. 2008 is the first year to promote the use of energy saving lights. Primary schools and middle schools are the first choice to start this activity. Over 200,000 lights will be fixed there. Then, over 100,000 lights will be fixed in residential houses, textile enterprises and advertisement boxes.
